How to Pack Your Ragproper Flask for Travel

Whether you're jetting off to a tropical destination or hitting the open road, these tips will ensure your precious cargo arrives safe and sound.

The Right Flask for the Journey:

First things first, choose the right size flask for your trip. If you're a light packer, the 100mL Single Shot is ideal for a few discreet sips on the go. For longer journeys or sharing with friends, the 240mL Double Shot might be a better fit.

Protection is Key:

Given the delicate nature of glass, protecting your Ragproper flask is paramount. Start by ensuring it's empty and thoroughly cleaned. Wrap it in a soft cloth or bubble wrap to cushion it from any bumps or jostles. If you have a leather flask cover, slip it on for an extra layer of protection.

Packing Placement:

The ideal location for your flask depends on your mode of transportation. If you're flying, we do not recommend packing flasks in checked luggage because of the extreme pressure variations, but if you decide to check your luggage, don't use a cork in the lid. Instead, replace it with one of the silicone stoppers. Cork can leak small amounts of whiskey when going from low to high altitude.  Do not fill the flask all the way to the top. Allow enough air for the liquor to expand under pressure. If you don't, the glass can break and lids can leak. Place it in the center of your luggage, surrounded by soft items. For road trips, pack it securely in a compartment where it won't roll around or get crushed.

• Leak-Proofing: Double-check the cap is tightly screwed on and consider adding a layer of plastic wrap around the cap for extra security.
